Glance Hotel In Florence

Botique style hotel right next to train station (5 mins walk). Staff at reception were very friendly, but when we were going to our room, the housekeeping staff were just sitting down in the seats outside the lifts and didn't even say hi when we walked past them. The room was decent. modern design but a bit worn down. 2 bottles of water were provided on arrival. This was restocked the next day as we stayed 2 nights. slippers were provided, and the bathrooms had dental kits, sewing kits, shower caps, shoe shiner, and cotton pads. Shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion provided. What was strange was on the 2nd day, housekeeping didnt give us new bottles of toiletries - they just moved our opened ones (in the shower and the body lotion by the bed) and placed them on the bathroom table again. Our shower was broken as the water was leaking through the shower head, and the water wasn't draining too well. We told reception and they sent someone to come up and take some photos but that was it. the next day we came back to the hotel, it was still the same. Hotel breakfast was decent. small selection but had a wide range such as pancakes, scrambled eggs, other hot breakfast items, cakes, fruit, cereal, croissants, pastries, a toaster to make your own toasties etc. If required, you can let reception know the day before to prepare a brekafast pack for you to take the next morning if you can't make it for breakfast, etc. This was very nice, especially if you have to set off early. Umbrellas are available by the entrance, and you can just grab 1 when you leave the hotel if it's going to rain.
